My Leadership Profile
I am a servant leader, whose educational interests are aligned with research, equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
My goal is to serve large organizations as an administrator of educational programs. As a project
coordinator and team leader, I regularly work on production teams with strict deadlines, and I am
accustomed to improvising, revising, anticipating, adapting, and problem-solving on the spot, while
managing the direction, dynamics, and completion of organizational goals.
I enjoy sharing what I know, and I enjoy working on projects, which not only span multiple disciplines,
but also help me better understand how individuals interact and achieve group goals, while
broadening my awareness.
I believe every goal can be accomplished with proper forethought, analysis, planning,
execution, communication, collaboration, reflection, adaptation, and an open mind focused on positive
outcomes for all stakeholders. I also firmly believe in democratic processes, full transparency in
educational settings, and fully embracing stakeholder involvement.
I believe all individuals have unique learning styles and needs which must be met for sustained growth. I also believe all individuals should be encouraged to construct their own learning with gentle guidance from caring and nurturing educational leaders, who embrace change, inspire, motivate, and facilitate growth through continued learning.
During my career, I have served in a leadership capacity as a school-level Visual and Performing Arts Consultant and as the District XII Advocacy Chairperson for the Pennsylvania Music Educators’ Association. My interest in serving as an educational leader originally inspired my completion of the Rowan University Supervisory Certification Program. My further interest in educational leadership prompted my enrollment in the University of Phoenix Doctor of Educational Leadership program, which I completed in October 2020. After the completion of my doctoral program, I studied for and passed the School Leadership Licensure Assessment (SLLA). After passing the SLLA, I realized there was still one more credential, which still eluded me (a principal certification of eligibility), and I believe acquiring a New Jersey Principal Certificate of Eligibility will open many doors for me as a professional.
My Leadership Aspirations
I currently hold a supervisor certification issued by the New Jersey Department of Education, and I am actively seeking an opportunity to serve as a Supervisor of Visual and Performing Arts in the State of New Jersey. Although serving as an educational leader in an arts context is very much aligned with who I am, I am confident I can be successful serving as a supervisor of curriculum and instruction as well as an assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction.
My acceptance into the Rowan University Master of School Administration program will allow me to earn a second masters degree and complete myself as a professional through the receipt of a New Jersey Principal Certificate of Eligibility.
This is truly a very exciting time!
